• Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois and registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office.

• Holds a J.D. from the Chicago‐Kent College of Law (ranked 9th among IP law schools in the U.S.), a Master of Science in Computer Science from North Central College, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from North Central College.

• Has 22 issued US patents and 30 additional issued patents worldwide.

• Most recently, was General Counsel at Harter Investment Strategies, where his practice included commercial contract, residential real estate, commercial real estate, residential leasing, commercial leasing, corporate compliance, mergers and acquisitions.

• Prior to the role as General Counsel, was Senior Patent Attorney at Conversant IP Management leading patent prosecution for the entire software related patent portfolio as well as having a role in managing litigation for Conversant.

• Preceding Conversant, held the role of Senior Licensing Counsel at Blackberry where he prosecuted patent applications concentrating on standard’s activity including IEEE 802; Wi‐Fi Alliance; 3GPP; IETF.

• Prior to Blackberry, was a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Lucent Technologies where he led a large engineering team, conceived, designed and implemented first systems for multiple wireless capabilities.
